Abstrak

Education is a system to improve the quality of human life in all aspects of life. In the history of makind, there is almost no group of people who do not use education as a means of civilizing and improving its quality. Natural Science (IPA) is a part of life, in short, IPA can be defined as rational knowledge about the universe and everything in it. Researchers found that in the teaching and learning process the teacher stated that there were too few teaching material in the books. The teacher has also tried to take teaching materials from the internet, but the teacher still feel that it is not optimal. This type of research is to use the research development method or Research and Development (R&D). The 4-D development model is limited to 3-D. This model consists of 4 development stages, namely: the define stage, the planning stage, the develop stage, and the dissemination stage. Based on the development of the experimental data for the IPA learning module based on the inquiry model on natural resources material theme 4 sub-themes 1 learning 1 and 2, the following conclusions are obtained: Validation of the IPA learning module based on the inqiry model in class IV natural resources material that has been developed with validity by 82.4% of material experts validity of linguists is 98% and validation of desing experts is 80% has shown that the inquiry-based science module developed is valid. The practicality of the science learning module based on the inquiry model of grade IV natural resources material that has been developed with the practicality of grade IV teachers, namely 85.4% and practicality by 10 grade IV students, namely 87.7%, has shown that the inquiry-based science module is developed practically From these data it is concluded that the science learning module based on the Inquiry model is valid and practically used in science learning so that it can be used as one of the teaching materials in learning in class IV SD Negeri 03 Koto Pulai Tapan.
