This research is motivated by the existence of visible in the learning process, the teacher only uses the lecture method, question and answer during learning takes place, this causes learning to only be centered on the teacher. In addition, the teaching materials used by the teacher are in the form of student worksheets (LKS) and theme books available in the library. Researchers see how teachers and students are in the learning process, some students are less active in learning. some students only heard the teacher's explanation and noted things that were considered important, so that it seemed that they had not fully involved students actively in learning. At the time of the learning process the teacher had not used the module because of the limited time they had, so that students had difficulty understanding mathematical concepts, and the teacher still used the teacher's book in presenting simple fraction material which was less attractive to students. To overcome this, the researchers developed a teaching material, especially in problem solving-based mathematics subjects. Based on this, the researcher conducted a research entitled "Development of a Mathematics Learning Module with the 5 Weather Theme Based on Problem Solving for Class III Elementary School Students". According to Muhsetyo (Daswarman and Alyusfitri, 2016), mathematics learning is the process of providing learning experiences to students through a series of planned activities so that students gain competence about the mathematical material being studied. This type of research is development research using a 4-D development model, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. However, this research only reached the develop stage. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of module validation results. The data taken in this study were the results of a learning module validation questionnaire given to material expert lecturers, language expert lecturers and design expert lecturers. The results showed that the development of problem solving-based Mathematics Learning Modules for Class III students in elementary schools met the very valid category with an average validity of 92.8%. From these data it can be concluded that the problem solving-based mathematics learning module for grade III students in elementary schools meets very valid criteria, so that it can be used in learning in class III elementary schools.Referensi
