Abstrak

DEVELOPMENT OF DISCOVERY LEARNING-BASED IPS LEARNING MODULE FOR CLASS IV STUDENTS PRIMARY SCHOOL Desta Marda Pela1, M. Tamrin1 1Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Bung Hatta University Email : peladestamarda@gmail.com This study aims to produce discovery learning-based social studies learning modules for fourth grade students of SD Negeri 10 East Painan who meet valid and practical criteria. This type of research is research and development (R&D). The development model uses 4-D which is modified into 3-D. The steps taken are define, design, and develop. This research was conducted on KD 3.1 material characteristics of space and utilization and natural resources. In the validation process, the module is validated by 3 validator lecturers. In the practical process, the module was tested by 1 teacher and 11 fourth grade students at SD Negeri 10 East Painan. Data for validity were obtained from the results of the validation sheet which had been assessed by material expert validators, namely 93%, language 97.72% and design 83.33% of the three validators getting a percentage value of 90.74% with very valid criteria. The data for the practicality of teachers obtained a value of 81.81%, the value of the questionnaire from the practicality of students was 82.43% from the two practicality results, the average value of practicality was 82.38% from the practical criteria. This shows that the discovery learning-based social studies learning module for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 10 Painan Timur is very valid and practical to be used as a learning resource or teaching material for students and teachers.
