Abstrak

DEVELOPMENT OF INQUIRY-BASED DIORAMA LEARNING MEDIA IN SCIENCE COURSES CLASS V ECOSYSTEM COMPONENT MATERIAL SD NEGERI 54 AIR ANAK IN PADANG CITY Istiqa Rahma Putri1, Enjoni1 1Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Bung Hatta University Email : Istiqaputri23@gmail.com ABSTRACT This study aims to produce an inquiry-based diorama learning media in science subjects that is valid and practical for the fifth grade ecosystem component of SD Negeri 54 Anak Air, Padang City. The type of research used is research and development using the 4-D method which has been modified into the define, design, and development stages. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The research instrument includes a validation questionnaire sheet which is validated by 2 validators and a practical sheet for 1 educator and 10 students. Based on the results of the research, the development of inquiry-based diorama learning media for fifth grade students includes valid criteria (3.31), from the material aspect (3.63), media (3.00). The media developed includes very practical criteria by teachers with practicality (93.75%) with very practical categories, from the aspect of material suitability (100.00%), ease of use (100.00%), time effectiveness (75.00%) , and presentation (100.00%). While the results of the practicality of students (93.00%) with a very practical category, from the aspect of student interest (92.00%), learning (92.00%), increased creativity (93.00%), and media (95.00 %). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the inquiry-based diorama learning media meets the valid criteria and is very practical and is used in science learning media, especially in Class V SD. From the research results, it is expected that diorama learning media can help teachers in the teaching and learning process. Keywords: Development, Diorama Media, Inquiry
