Abstrak

Science can be described as a series of interrelated concepts and conceptual patterns resulting from the results of experiments and observations. Science is indeed more than just a collection of complex theories obtained from books or teacher lectures in front of the class, then people believe it. In learning at school, teachers use conventional learning methods, one of which uses the lecture method, teachers rarely use group methods and discussion methods in the learning process. The available teaching materials are not easily understood by students. In addition, there is no learning tool available in the form of LKPD based on Problem Based Learning for third grade students of SD Negeri 26 Nanggalo Tarusan. Therefore, the researcher conducted a development research entitled "Development of LKPD Based Problem Based Learning in Natural Science Learning Material Characteristics of Living Things Class III SD Negeri 26 Nanggalo Tarusan". The type of research conducted is Research and Development (R&D) research using a 4-D development model, namely, Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. However, due to time constraints, this research only reached the Develop stage. The trial subjects of this science learning module were the third grade students of SD Negeri 26 Nanggalo Tarusan, totaling 13 students. In the validation stage, the LKPD that has been designed, is continued with validation activities by a validator consisting of 3 lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bung Hatta University. For the practicality stage, it is carried out after the LKPD is validated and feasible to be tested with the aim of knowing the level of practicality of the learning LKPD that has been made. Based on the results of research on the development of LKPD for science learning based on. Problem Based Learning, it was obtained an overall average validity of 92.08% with very valid criteria, while for the average practicality by teachers and students obtained an overall average of 92.95% with very practical criteria. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the LKPD for science learning based on Problem Based Learning is very valid and very practical to use in science learning, so it can be used as one of the teaching materials in learning in class III SD.
