Abstrak

Indonesian is a language skill, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Language skills for humans are very necessary. The objectives of learning Indonesian in elementary schools are aimed at making students able to enjoy and utilize literary works to develop their personality, broaden their horizons of life, and improve their knowledge and language skills. In learning at school, it seems that the teacher does not have an Indonesian language learning module, during observations the teacher only has a teacher theme book and a student theme book, in Indonesian subjects it does not look good, because there is only a small amount of Indonesian material so the material presented is not effective. Therefore, the researcher conducted a development research entitled "Development of Indonesian Language Learning Module Based on Contextual Teaching and Learning for Fourth Grade Students of SD 036 Rantau Panjang, Merangin Jambi Regency" The type of research carried out is Research and Development (R&D) research using a 4-D development model, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. However, due to time constraints, this research only reached the Develop stage. The trial subjects of the Indonesian Contextual Teaching and Learning learning module were 19th graders of class IV sdn 036 Rantau Panjang. At the module validation stage, it is carried out by 3 validators, namely material expert validators, linguists, design experts by providing questionnaires and modules, for the practical phase it is carried out after validation by the validator and is feasible to be tested on fourth grade elementary school students and provide questionnaires to students and teachers, the aim is to determine the level of practicality of the learning modules that have been made. For the effectiveness stage, it is tested with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of the learning module that has been designed. Based on the results of research on the development of Indonesian language learning modules based on contextual teaching and learning, an overall average validity of 90% was obtained with very valid criteria for the average practicality by teachers, an overall average of 97.7% was obtained with very practical criteria and average Practicality by students obtained an overall average of 66.5% with quite practical criteria, while for effectiveness it is categorized as effective (100%). From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Indonesian language learning module based on contextual teaching and learning is very valid, practical and effectively used in learning Indonesian, so that it is one of the teaching materials in learning in class IV SDN 036 Rantau Panjang.
