Abstrak

Natural Sciences (IPA) is a subject that studies a set of events, facts, and concepts related to nature and all of its contents. Learning Natural Sciences is one of the subjects that play a role in improving the quality of human resources. Through learning science in elementary schools, students are expected to have knowledge and insight about the basic concepts of science and have the ability to take care of nature well. Therefore, so that the science learning process is not considered difficult, an educator must be good at choosing methods, models, strategies, media, and fun ways that can involve students thinking directly so that students feel happy and easy to explore the material presented by the educator. Modules are teaching materials that are systematically arranged using language that is easily understood by students in which a series of activities that have been designed as well as possible according to the material are so that students can learn independently to achieve learning goals. Therefore, the researcher conducted a development research entitled "Development of a Scientific-Based Science Module Theme 6 in Class V SDN 11 Pancung Pesisir Selatan Question". This learning module is expected to motivate students to be more enthusiastic about reading, asking questions and discussing. Based on the development of test data for science learning modules on heat transfer material around us with a scientific approach that has been carried out, the overall validity is 3.51 with very valid criteria, while the practicality of the module by the teacher is obtained by an average percentage of practicality of 89.58% and by students obtained an average percentage of practicality of 96.83% with very practical criteria. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the scientific-based science learning module is very valid and very practical to use in science learning, so it can be used as one of the teaching materials in learning in class V SD Negeri 11 Pancung Question.
