Abstrak

Indonesian is one of the lessons that must be taught in schools. The function of learning Indonesian is to convey information, descriptive by conveying factual information, expressive by providing information to others and can preserve social relations between humans. To make it easier for students to learn, teaching materials are needed in the form of Indonesian language learning modules. The module is a form of print-based teaching material that is designed for independent study by the learning participants. Therefore, the module is equipped with instructions for self-study. In learning at school students do not understand the material in the theme book. So we need a Direct Instruction approach (Direct Learning). Therefore, the researcher conducted a study entitled "Development of Indonesian Language Learning Module Based on Direct Instruction in Class IV SD Negeri 040/XI Koto Limau Manis, Sungi Full City, Jambi". The type of research is Research and Development (research and development). This Direct Instruction-based Indonesian language learning module was developed using 4-D which was limited to 3-D, due to limited ability and time. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. Data collection is done by validating the developed module. The module design that has been designed is validated by three expert lecturers, for the practicality test the module is carried out on teachers and fourth grade elementary school students, and for the effectiveness test, it is the test results of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 040/XI Koto Limau Manis, Sungai Penuh City, Jambi. The results showed that the resulting module was categorized as very valid by the validator with a value of (90.73%). The module that has been developed is categorized as very practical by the teacher with a practical value (95%), also categorized as very practical according to students with a practical value (95.67%), and the module developed is very effective with a value (100%). Thus, it can be concluded that the module developed is very valid, practical and effective for use for fourth grade elementary school students. Furthermore, the Indonesian language learning module can be used by teachers as an alternative teaching material for Indonesian subjects at SD Negeri 040/XI Koto Limau Manis, Sungai Penuh City, Jambi.
