Abstrak

Education is often interpreted as a human effort to foster his personality in accordance with the values in society and culture. However, the reality found in the field at this time is that the world of education still has several obstacles related to learning. Indonesian is one of the important materials taught in SD/MI, because Indonesian has a very important position and function for life so that students have good and correct Indonesian language skills. Based on the results of observations, the problems found were the lack of understanding of some students towards the learning material and some students were too indifferent to the tasks given by the teacher. This is due to the lack of use of learning media, teachers only use worksheets and theme books. Therefore we need an interesting Indonesian language learning media. Researchers develop scientific-based snake ladder media in Indonesian material The type of research used is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). This development uses a 4D model consisting of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop and Dessiminate. However, due to limited capabilities, in this study the author only arrived at the third phase, namely Develop. In this study, the data collection technique used was a questionnaire (questionnaire). Based on the results of research on the development of scientific-based snakes and ladders media in Indonesian language learning, the average validity is 82.25% with valid criteria, the average practicality is 90.66% with very practical criteria and effectiveness on a limited scale gets an average of 89 with a good predicate and on a small scale obtained an average of 88.05 with a good predicate. This shows that the scientific-based snake and ladder media in learning Indonesian in fourth grade elementary school is valid, practical, and effective
