Abstrak

Natural Sciences (IPA) is a human effort to understand the universe through precise observations on the target, as well as using procedures, and explained by reasoning so as to get a conclusion. In the learning process at school, teachers are more likely to teach the material as stated in the LKS. This causes students as science users to find it difficult to make generalizations through the discovery of what the students created. Researchers conducted experimental research with the title "Application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Models in Science Learning for Class V Students of SDN 1 Sijunjung". The type of research carried out is Experiment using a simple experimental design (Posttest Only Control Group Design). However, due to time constraints, this research only arrived at student learning outcomes. The test subjects for this question are the fifth grade students of SDN 10 Kandang Baru, totaling 23 students. At the validation stage, the questions that have been designed are followed by validation activities between which questions can be used in the final test in the sample class in class V SDN 1 Sijunjung. For the next stage, after the questions are validated and appropriate to be given to the sample class with the aim of knowing the level of success of student learning outcomes using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in science learning. Based on the results of the research on the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model, it was obtained that the average science learning outcomes for the experimental class was 82.4 while the average science learning outcomes for the control class was 76.67. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model can improve student learning outcomes in science learning, so that it can be used as a learning model in learning in class V SDN 1 Sijunjung.
