The Development of Comic-Shaped Teaching Materials on Angle Measurement Materials for Class IV Students at SDN 03 Bukit Tambun Tulang
Abstrak
Teaching materials are all forms of materials used to assist teachers/instructors in carrying out teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Comic-shaped teaching materials are teaching materials whose presentations use immovable images arranged in such a way as to form a story line in the form of a guide for the development of all aspects of learning. Comic teaching materials are used so that students do not feel bored in reading the material in the teaching materials because the learning media in the form of comic media combines elements of images and text that are light to understand, besides that the material can be absorbed quickly. However, in the learning process, several facts were found in the implementation of learning in schools. The facts found are as follows: 1) Learning teaching materials are still general in nature which only focuses on printed books, 2) The use of printed books is still not optimal so that when working on questions on printed books students feel confused in doing it, 3) lack of availability of source books. others so that students only receive learning from the teacher, 4) There is no available comic book form of teaching materials. Therefore, the researcher conducted a development research entitled "Development of ComicShaped Teaching Materials on Angle Measurement Material for Class IV Students at SDN 03 Bukit Tambun Bone". The type of research carried out is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADD (Analysis, design, and development) model. The subjects of the research trial were the fourth grade students of SDN 03 Bukit Tambun Tulang, totaling 20 people. At the validation stage, the comics that have been designed are validated by a validator consisting of 3 lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bung Hatta University. The practicality stage is carried out after the comics have been validated and deserve to be tested to determine the practicality of the comics that have been made. Based on the results of the research on the development of teaching materials in the form of comics, the overall validity average is 89.3% with valid criteria, while for the average practicality by teachers, the practicality percentage is 94.37% with very practical criteria and practicality results by students are obtained by the percentage of practicality is 95.02% with very practical criteria. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the teaching materials in the form of comics meet the valid and very practical criteria that can be used in the mathematics learning process for fourth grade elementary school (SD) students independently.Referensi
