Learning media can be developed by teachers as a tool or intermediary between teachers and students, in carrying out an interesting learning process and able to increase student cooperation, therefore word card learning media is appropriate to be applied in the learning process. A word card is a word card that contains words that are used as media or tools in the learning process to improve students' abilities. This word card is a learning medium that was developed into a learning medium for elementary school students, especially low grade students to increase interest in learning, using the picture and picture model is suitable because it has a learning method that uses pictures and is paired or in a logical order. This research was designed using the Research and Development (R&D) method. According to Mahendra (2016: 8), "Research and Development research methods are research methods used to develop a new product or improve an existing product so that it can be accounted for, and test the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the product". Researchers use Research and Development products because researchers want to develop products in the form of picture and picture-based word card media in Indonesian language learning that are useful for solving problems at SD Negeri 05 Surau Gadang Padang. To meet the research objectives, this research was designed using a Research and Development (R&D) approach. According to Trianto (2014: 233), the 4D model consists of 4 stages, namely: define stage, design stage, develop 6 stage (Development), and disseminate stage (Deployment). However, due to limited ability, time and cost, this research was developed to the develop stage or it can be shortened to 3D. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that on average 1) the validity of the questionnaire validator was carried out by 3 expert lecturers, 2) the practicality test was carried out by teachers and first grade elementary school students, and 3) the effectiveness test was carried out by first grade elementary school students. The results showed that the media produced was categorized as very valid by the validator with an average value (91.76%) seen from the aspect of content feasibility (96%), language aspect (83.3%), and presentation and display aspects (95%). ). The media developed and produced were categorized as very practical by students with an average of 97.86% and declared very practical by teachers with an average value of 97.5%. The results of the study on the effectiveness test were categorized as very effective with an average of 91%.The test results achieved by students have exceeded the KKM, which is 70%. for grade 1 students.Referensi
