In the learning process, teachers have the skills to develop learning media. That the learning media that can be used and developed by teachers are printed teaching materials such as student books and student worksheets (LKS). However, teaching materials that are more effective and efficient are modules because the modules are arranged systematically which allows students to learn independently. The purpose of compiling the module is to motivate students, and make classroom learning activities more meaningful, especially in Civics learning activities. To produce meaningful learning activities, of course, modules need to be developed using a learning approach that is in accordance with the characteristics and conditions of students, one of which can be chosen is the contextual teaching and learning approach. Based on these problems, the researchers were interested in conducting research on Civics learning subjects with the title "Development of Contextual Teaching and Learning-based Civics learning modules for third grade students at SDN 06 Tengah Padang, Pesisir Selatan Regency".". The type of research carried out is Research and Development (R&D) with the development of this model using a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Development, , and disseminate) but due to limited capabilities, in this study the author only goes to three phases, namely (define, design, and development). The subjects of the research trial were third grade students of SDN 06 Tengah Padang, totaling 24 people. At the validation stage, the module that has been designed is validated by a validator consisting of 3 lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bung Hatta University. For the practicality stage, it is carried out after the module has been validated and deserves to be tested to determine the practicality of the module that has been made. Based on the results of the research on the development of CTL-based modules, the overall validity average is 98.3% with very valid criteria, while the average practicality of teachers is 98.4% and the average practicality of students is 94.3%, the overall average is obtained. namely 96.3% with very practical criteria.Referensi
