DEVELOPMENT OF IPS LEARNING MODULE BASED ON THE MIND MAPPING MODEL FOR CLASS V STUDENTS SDN 23 AMPALU PAGAMBIRAN PADANG 〖Seffi Dwi Putri Syafiani〗^1,〖M.Tamrin〗^1 1 Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Bung Hatta University Email: seffysyafiani@gmail.com ABSTRACT This study aims to produce a Mind Mapping-Based Social Studies learning module for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 23 Ampalu Pagambiran Padang who meet valid and practical criteria. This type of research is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The development model uses 4-D which is modified into 3-D. The data collection instrument used in this study was a questionnaire/questionnaire consisting of a validation sheet and a practical sheet. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2021-2022 academic year in social studies subjects. In the validation process, the module is validated by 3 validator lecturers, namely material expert validator, linguist, and design expert. In the practical process, the module was tested by 1 teacher and 27 fifth grade elementary school students. The data for validity are obtained from validation sheets which have been assessed by material expert validators 89.58% with valid criteria, linguists 93.18% with very valid criteria, and design experts 95% with very valid criteria, so that the overall average value of validity of three expert lecturers 92% with very valid criteria. Data for practicality were obtained from practicality sheets (teacher and student response questionnaires) which got 97.5% practicality scores by teachers with very practical criteria and 93.65% practicality by students with very practical criteria, so the average practicality by teachers and students 93.72% with very practical criteria. This shows that this module is valid and practical to use as a learning resource or social studies teaching material for grade V Elementary School.
