Development of Scientific-Based Science Learning Module on Animal Life Cycle Materials for Class IV SDN 8 Padang Panjang Timur

Natural science (IPA) is part of life, science can be interpreted as rational knowledge about the universe and all its contents. Generally, teachers use teaching materials in the form of student handbooks and teacher handbooks along with Student Worksheets (LKS) which are inadequate and the material contained in the book is minimal in terms of material. To overcome these problems, researchers developed a scientific-based module for fourth grade students at SDN 8 Padang Panjang Timur. Based on this, the researchers conducted development research with the title "Development of Scientific-Based Natural Science Learning Module for fourth grade students of SDN 8 Padang Panjang Timur". This type of research is development research using a 4-D development model, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. However, in this research, it only reached the Develop stage. The trial subjects of this learning module were fourth grade students of SDN 8 Padang Panjang Timur on theme 6 "My ideals" Sub-theme 2 "The greatness of my ideals" in lesson 1 and lesson 2 totaling 27 students. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the results of the module validation and the analysis of the results of the practicality of the module. The data taken in this study is the result of a science learning questionnaire using the module distributed at the end of the lesson. The results showed the average value of the overall validity was 3.74 with a very valid category while the average practicality value by the teacher obtained a percentage of 97.00% in the practical category and obtained practical results by students with a percentage of 90.00% with a result. very practical category. From these data, it is concluded that this scientific-based learning module is very valid and practical to use in science learning so that it can be used as one of the teaching materials in learning in class IV SDN 8 Padang Panjang Timur.Referensi
