In learning at school, it was found that many students made mistakes in writing, this problem was caused by the habit of students who only listened to the teacher's explanation. During learning, the teacher only explains the material, this has an impact on writing skills in several aspects, namely, pouring ideas or ideas into texts/compositions, using inappropriate diction, using spelling and punctuation that are not correct according to rules/rules. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe how to overcome initial writing errors in class I students at SDN 02 Ulak Karang Selatan in the 2021/2022 school year. Writing is an activity that is sustainable in nature so that learning also needs to be carried out continuously since elementary school. The writing errors felt by students are finding writing ideas and developing paragraphs with appropriate sentences and proper spelling and punctuation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, qualitative research is research that produces findings that cannot be achieved using statistical procedures or quantitative methods. In carrying out this research using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation studies. The instrument in this study was the researcher himself as the key instrument. Data analysis techniques in this study include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and then drawing conclusions. Based on the research that the researchers did in the ongoing learning activities, some students experienced initial writing errors. Such as writing errors, writing letters that are often reversed, and some similar letters, for example writing the letter d into b, letter p into k, letter b into g upside down. From the results of interviews with first grade teachers, students can experience writing errors at the beginning due to the lack of parental participation in helping and guiding their children to write the beginning. Efforts are made to overcome writing errors, namely collaborating with parents in overcoming writing errors in the beginning is to teach and guide children so that there are no initial writing errors. Suggestions in this study are expected that students should have a higher enthusiasm and motivation to learn with learning discipline and the need to raise students' enthusiasm and motivation to learn, especially in writing beginnings.Referensi
