Abstrak

Arsyad (2019: 19) that in learning the use of learning media in the teaching and learning process can generate new desires and interests, generate motivation and stimulation of teaching activities, and even bring psychological effects on students. Visual media aids can represent something that the teacher cannot convey through words or sentences, and students can understand economic learning. By utilizing visual learning media, teachers can stimulate students' interest in learning. The use of learning media in the teaching and learning process can generate new motivation and interest for students to learn well. Besides being able to motivate students to learn, the use or utilization of media can also increase students' understanding of the lesson. According to Sugiyono (2019:111) experimental research is a research method conducted by experiment, which is a quantitative method, used to determine the effect of the independent variable (treatment) on the dependent variable (outcome) under controlled conditions. In carrying out this research, the researcher used two sample classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The two classes were given different treatment. In the experimental class, learning is carried out using Visual learning media and in the control class is given conventional learning treatment, where the population and sample in this study are all fifth grade students. Based on the results and discussions that have been raised, the following conclusions are drawn: the average mathematics learning outcomes of class V students in the experimental class is 76.4 and the control class is 65.2. From the results of the final test, the average experimental class is higher than the control class. . At the level of hypothesis testing, the price tcount> ttable where 3.29>2.016 which is evidenced by a significant level of = 0.05 This indicates the influence of Visual Learning media on learning outcomes of Mathematics in Class V SDN 35 Pagambira Padang.
