Abstrak

M.H According to Sholikhah (2017) states "Pop Up Book is a book that displays book pages in which there are folds of cut images that form a threedimensional layer that can also be moved so that it does not bore the reader". Sanjaya (2009:197) states that the inquiry learning strategy is a form of studentoriented learning approach (student centered) because in this strategy students play a very dominant role in the learning process. However, in the learning process, some facts were found in the discovery of several problems in the learning process, namely in science learning. Among them are (1) the teacher in teaching still uses the lecture and question and answer method which causes learning to only be focused on the teacher, (2) the lack of student interest in using science learning teaching materials, learning media with a display that tends to be less attractive causes a lack of interest in learning. students' interest in learning, (3) there are still many students who are less active in learning so that many students lack the desire to ask questions, even though these students have not mastered the material taught by the teacher, (4) There is no pop up book learning media with an inquiry approach especially in science learning. The type of research carried out is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADD (Analysis, design, and development) model. The subjects of the research trial were the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 03 2x11 Enam Lingkung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, totaling 20 people. At the validation stage, the comics that have been designed are validated by a validator consisting of 3 lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bung Hatta University. The practicality stage is carried out after the comics have been validated and deserve to be tested to determine the practicality of the comics that have been made. The results showed that the media produced was categorized as very valid by the validator with an average value (3.63. Practical results by educators and students were categorized as very practical with an average value (98.34). From the results of the study it can be concluded that the development of The science learning media in the form of an inquiry-based pop-up book on the material of disorders of the human respiratory organs in class 4 SDN 03 2x11 Enam Lingkung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman is very valid, and very practical so that it can be used in the learning process in class 4 SD
