Abstrak

Education is a system of changing attitudes and behavior of a person or group in maturing humans or students through teaching efforts and courses. Education is not only limited to improving thinking skills, but education can also develop one's attitudes and skills (Imran, et al 2018: 3). Picture card media or flashcard is a media card that contains images, where the images can come from self-made or existing images/photos, media in the form of print media that contains a summary of material that is adapted to the basic competencies of learning (Satriana 2013:15) . That researchers can see directly in learning the media used by teachers in the classroom tend to use pictures in the theme book and pictures on the walls of the classroom such as maps, pictures of traditional houses and dances in Indonesia with a limited number. Based on these problems, the researchers will conduct research with the title "Development of Media in Social Studies Learning with Picture Cards on Cultural Diversity Material for Class IV Elementary School The type of research is research and development, the development model (R&D) used in this research is the device development model proposed by Sugiyono, (2013:407) this development model consists of 4 stages of development, namely the first stage is the defining stage, the second is the planning stage (Design), the third stage is the development stage (Development), and the last stage is the product distribution stage (Disseminate). In this research, the stage that will be passed by the researcher only reaches stage 3, namely Define, Design, Development. At the validation stage of the illustrated card media that has been designed, it is continued with validation activities by a validator consisting of 3 expert lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bung Hatta University. Based on the results of the research on the social, economic, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity of social, economic, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity picture card media, it was obtained an average validation value of 92.69% with very valid criteria, while for practicality by teachers, an average of 96.42% was obtained. with very practical criteria and for practicality by students obtained an average of 98.07% with very practical criteria Based on the results of the research on the social, economic, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity of social, economic, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity picture cards, the conclusions are as follows:Social media with social, economic, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity picture cards for class IV SD Negeri 16 Nan Sabaris 92.69% declared very valid, where 82.5% was declared valid in the material aspect, 94.44% was declared very valid on the language aspect, and 96.16% stated very valid on the design aspect. This shows that this media can be used as one of the teaching materials for fourth grade elementary school students. Social, economic, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity picture cards for class IV SD Negeri 16 Nan Sabaris that have been used by teachers and students 97.18% are stated to be very practical, of which 96.42% are stated to be very practical by teachers and students. 9795,% stated very practical by students. This shows that this media can be used as teaching materials in learning activities by teachers and students
