This study aims to improve the activeness and learning outcomes of studentsthrough the discovery learning model of mathematics in the fifth grade of SDNegeri 06Lembah Melintang Keb. West Pasaman. This study uses the theory used is thelearningsteps according to Syah(in Maskuri, 2019: 165). In the learning process at school, the lack of student activity where thelearningprocess is still centered on the teacher, students are less active in participatinginlearning, the lack of teacher ability in providing variations in teaching whichhasanimpact on student concentration and understanding and student learning outcomesarestill low and most under KKM. Based on this, the researcher conducted a classroomaction research entitled “Efforts to Increase Activity and Learning OutcomesofMathematics for Class V Students at SD Negeri 06 Lembah Meintang Kab. PasamanBarat through the Discovery Learning Modelâ€. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) using the DiscoveryLearning model. The subjects of this research are the fifthgrade students of SDN06Lembah Melintang, West Pasaman Regency, totaling 10 students. The researchinstrument was an observation sheet on the teacher's learning implementationprocess, activities and student learning outcomes. From the implementation of this research, itcan be concluded that the use of the Discovery Learning model can increase theactivityand learning outcomes of Mathematics. The results of the study showedstudentlearning outcomes in the first cycle with an average of 62.5 percentageofcompleteness 40%. While in the second cycle with an average of 87, the percentageofcompleteness is 80%. The percentage of student activity in cycles 1 and 2, namelyinreadiness activities there is an increase of 60%, an increase of 80%, an activity of payingattention to teachers 80% increases by 95%, asking 20% increases by 60%, workingtogether 80% increases by 100%, performing 40% increases by 75%whilesolveproblems 80% increase to 100%.Referensi
