Abstrak

PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL TEBAK KATA PADA SISWA KELAS II SD NEGERI 40 BUKIT GADO – GADO KOTA PADANG Rajimi 1, Wirnita Eska 2 1)Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas BungHatta E-mail : rajimi2809@gmail.com ABSTRACK This research was motivated by the lack of reading ability of class II students at SD Negeri 40 Bukit Gado-Gado, Padang City. The purpose of this study was to improve reading skills using the word guessing model at SD Negeri 40 Bukit Gado-Gado, Padang City. The theory used as a reference in this study is the theory of reading put forward by Dalman (2013), while for the charades model the opinion of Agus Suprijono (2009) is used. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles. The subjects in this study were grade II students at SD Negeri 40 Bukit Gado-Gado. The research instrument was in the form of teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets and student learning outcomes test sheets. Based on the research results, the average proportion of student learning outcomes increased in the first cycle by 75 %, increasing to 92.2% in the second cycle, then the teacher's observation sheet in the first cycle increased by 66.84% to 94.4%. Student learning outcomes cycle I 84.54% increased to 89% in cycle II. The results of the study can be concluded that the ability to read using the charades model increases.
