Application of the NHT Model Assisted by Learning Media in Mathematics Learning to Improve Class V Learning Outcomes at SDN 31 Kampung Tanjung, Pesisir Selatan Regency

APPLICATION OF THE NHT MODEL ASSISTED WITH LEARNING MEDIA IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' LEARNING OUTCOMES IN CLASS V SDN 31 KAMPUNG TANJUNG, PESISIR SELATAN DISTRICT Fenia Fauzia1, Syafni Gustina Sari1 1Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Bung Hatta University E-mail : feniafauzia@mail.com ABSTRACT The background of this research is that at the time of learning the media used was still using concrete media and there were no group discussions on learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the NHT model assisted by learning media in learning mathematics to improve learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SDN 31 Kampung Tanjung, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this research were 15 students in class V at SDN 31 Kampung Tanjung, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The research instrument was observation data on teacher activity and test sheets. This study consisted of 2 cycles, in each cycle a learning achievement test was carried out. The results of this study show student learning outcomes in cycle 1 with a percentage of 46.67%, while in cycle 2, it is 80%. The implementation of teacher learning activities has increased, namely in cycle 1 with a percentage of 84% while in cycle 2 with a percentage of 92%. From this study it can be concluded that the application of the NHT learning model assisted by learning media in mathematics can improve student learning outcomes. The suggestion from this study is to apply the NHT model assisted by learning media as an alternative teacher in implementing mathematics learning in class.
