Increasing Learning Outcomes of Class II Students in Learning Mathematics Through the Kumon Method Assisted by LKPD at SDN 08 Surau Gadang, Nanggalo Padang District
Abstrak
INCREASING THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF CLASS II STUDENTS IN LEARNING MATHEMATICS THROUGH METHODS KUMON ASSISTED LKPD AT SDN 08 SURAU GADANG, NANGGALO SUB-DISTRICT PADANG Wulan Widianita1, Syafni Gustina Sari1 1Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Bung Hatta University E-mail : wulanwidianita11@gmail.com ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class II students in learning mathematics at SDN 08 Surau Gadang, Nanggalo Padang District. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of class II students in learning mathematics through the Kumon method assisted by worksheets at SDN 08 Surau Gadang, Nanggalo District, Padang. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research instrument used Teacher Activity Observation Sheets and Student Learning Outcomes Tests. The research subjects were class II, totaling 27 students. This study consisted of two cycles, one cycle consisting of two meetings and a final test, at the first and second meetings the researcher gave LKPD and at the final test the researcher gave cycle test questions to see student learning outcomes. The results showed that, the results of observations of teacher activity in the first cycle with an average of 66.95%, while in the second cycle 89.95%, so there has been an increase of 23%. For the average results of observations of teacher activity in the two cycles, namely 78.45%. The percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 65.38% and 88.46% in the second cycle, so there was an increase of 23.08%. The average student learning outcomes in cycle I was 66.92 and in cycle II was 84.23, resulting in an average increase in student learning outcomes of 17.31. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Kumon Kumon method assisted by LKPD can improve student learning outcomes in class II at SDN 08 Surau Gadang, Nanggalo District, Padang. Therefore, the researchers suggest that teachers can apply the Kumon learning method assisted by LKPD in learning mathematics, in order to improve student learning outcomes in learning mathematics.
