Abstrak

THE EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TYPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) ON MATH LEARNING OUTCOMES GRADE V STUDENTS OF PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 16 SURAU GADANG Ani Safriani1, Susi Herawati2 1Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program 2Mathematics Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Bung Hatta University Email: anisaafriani06@gmail.com ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Mathematics class V students of SD Negeri 16 Surau Gadang. This study aims to describe the effect of the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model on fifth grade math learning at SD Negeri 16 Surau Gadang. This type of research is experimental research with a "posttest-only control design" design. The population of this research is all fifth grade of SD Negri 16 Surau Gadang with class VA as the experimental class VB class as the control class. The data in this study are learning outcomes obtained through the final test in objective form. Based on the final test, it was found that the learning outcomes of Mathematics class V SD Negri 16 Surau Gadang which used the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model was better than the learning outcomes that applied the conventional learning model. This can be proven by looking at the results of the average value of the experimental class higher than the control class, namely 77.14 for the experimental class and 71.5 for the control class. With t-test α = 0.05 obtained tcount 3.74 and ttable 2.022 this means tcount> ttable. For this reason, it is recommended for teachers to be able to apply the Teams Games Tournament model in the learning process. Keywords: Teams Games Tournament, Learning Outcomes, Math
