Abstrak

IMPROVING THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF CLASS VI STUDENTS IN LEARNING IPS USING THE POWER OF TWO MODEL AT SDN 05 ALANG RAMBAH PESISIR SELATAN Fadlizon Julian1, Yulfia Nora1 Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Bung Hatta University Email : fadlizon0507@gmail.com ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class VI students in social studies learning at SDN 05 Alang Rambah, Pesisir Selatan. The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of class VI students through The Power of Two learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects were students of class VI. The research data is in the form of information about action data obtained from observations, observations of teacher activities, results of student affective assessment and results of student learning tests. The results showed that 1) student learning outcomes increased which in cycle I was 57% to 81% in cycle II, 2) students' cooperative abilities increased from 61.90% to 85.71% in cycle II. The results of this study can be concluded that there is an increase in social studies learning outcomes for class VI students in the cognitive and affective domains through The Power of Two learning model at SDN 05 Alang Rambah, Pesisir Selatan. Based on the results of this study, the researcher suggests that teachers can make The Power of Two model an alternative in social studies learning.
