Abstrak

Education can influence individual behavior so that they become adults who are able to live independently and as members of society in the surrounding natural environment where the individual is located. In other words, education is a human effort to responsibly guide students to maturity. In addition, education is also an attempt to mature humans through teaching and training efforts or with a conscious effort to prepare students through guidance, teaching and training activities both carried out formally in schools and non-formally outside of schools. Then the Learning Cycle 5e learning module is needed in the 2013 curriculum (2018), with KD 3.5 Exploring important information from historical narrative texts presented orally and in writing using the aspects: what, where, when, who, why and how. so that student learning outcomes are better, and students enjoy learning Indonesian, as well as creating student curiosity. So the authors have conducted a study entitled "Development of Indonesian Language Learning Modules Using the Learning Cycle 5e Method on Reading Material Historical Narratives for Class V Elementary School 03 Alai Padang". This research is research development (Research and Development) using a 3-D model, namely Define, Design, and Develop (up to the stage of testing effectiveness). The research instruments included validity sheets and practicality sheets (teacher and student response questionnaires). The validators consist of 3 expert lecturers namely material, language and design validators. The instrument in this study used validity, practicality and effectiveness tests. Based on the development of trial data for the Indonesian Language module using the Learning Cycle 5e method with material for reading historical narrative essays, an average validity of 83.66% with valid criteria is obtained. Aspects of the material component, get a validity percentage of 77% with a fairly valid category. The aspect of the language component gets a validity percentage of 93% with a very valid category. Aspects of design, get a validity percentage of 81% with a valid category. The development of an Indonesian learning module based on Learning Cycle 5e for class V of SDN 03 Alai Padang which has been developed was declared very practical with a practicality percentage of 90.62% by the teacher, and students declared very practical with a module practicality percentage of 90%. The effectiveness of the Learning Cycle 5e-based Indonesian module for class V of SDN 03 Alai Padang that has been developed is stated to be effective with the results of the effectiveness analysis showing 78-Gain>70 with the effective category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Learning Cycle 5e-based Indonesian language module meets the valid, very practical, and effective criteria that can be used in learning in class V Elementary School independently in class V Elementary School 03 Alai Padang.
