Abstrak

Educations is a means to improve human resources. Through edaction humans can develop the potential that is exists in themselves; impeove knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behavior for the better. In the learning process at school, was found that teachers still used conventional methods, and the teaching materials used were only student theme books and worksheets. The impact is the lack of interest and students participation in the learning process, thus making it difficult for students to understand the topic being taught by the teacher. Therefore, researches conducted a study entitled “Development of Scientific-Based Indonesian Language Learning Modules for 5th Grade of SDN 16 Surau Gadang Padangâ€. The type of research conducted is Research and Development (R&D) research using a 4D development model that is modified into 3D namely define, design, and development. The subjects of this research trial were VA class students at SDN 16 Surau Gadang Padang, totaling 21 students. At the validation stage, the modules that have been designed are validated by a validator consisting of 3 lecturers at the Faculty of Teaching and Education, Bung Hatta University. The practicality test stage is carried out after the module has been validated and is feasible to be tested to determine the practicality of the module. Then to find out the effectiveness of the module in learning, an effectiveness test was carried out by conducting pre-tests and post-tests on students. Based on the results of research on the development of scientific-based Indonesian language learning modules, an overall average validity of 90.38% was obtained with valid criteria, the average practicality by teachers was 91.07% with practical criteria, and the average practicality by students was 88.51% with practical criteria . While the results of the effectiveness test are categorized as effective with the percentage of completeness obtained was 85.71% From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Development of Scientific-Based Indonesian Language Learning Modules for 5th Grade of SDN 16 Surau Gadang Padang is stated to be valid, practical, and effective to be use in the bahasa Indonesia learning process.
