Abstrak

ndonesian language learning in the context of the Independent Curriculum invites educators and students to actively communicate with each other. Educators are no longer subjects, but act as facilitators. Indonesian language lessons in elementary schools are essentially teaching children to be able to communicate using Indonesian. Indonesian language learning in elementary schools is directed at improving students' ability to communicate in Indonesian both orally and in writing. Indonesian language learning has a focus on language skills and abilities which theoretically consist of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. These four aspects of language skills are the focal point of things that are always explored by students so that they are optimal. According to Adiilah & Haryanti (2023), the problem-based learning model is a learning model that presents problems so as to stimulate students to learn. In the classroom, students work together to form teams in groups to solve problems and find solutions to realworld problems. The type of research used is an experimental research type with a quantitative method. The population in this study were 41 students of grade IV SDN 33 Sawahan, 21 students of grade IVA and 20 students of grade IVC. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, namely samples were taken from certain factors, namely based on Summative value 2. The data collected were data on Indonesian language learning outcomes. The instrument used was a learning outcome test sheet consisting of 25 questions. The results of the study on the learning outcomes of students in Indonesian showed that the average learning outcomes of students in class IVC as an experimental class was 84.4 and in class IVA as a control class was 71.61. Hypothesis testing with the Independent Samples t test obtained a significance value of <0.05 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. which means that the learning outcomes of students who use the Problem Based Learning model are better than the learning outcomes of Indonesian students who use conventional learning models in class IV SDN 33 Sawahan Padang. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model has an effect on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of grade IV students at SD Negeri 33 Sawahan, Padang City.
