Abstrak

Learning is a process of interaction between students, educators, and learning resources in a learning environment to achieve certain goals. This process involves key components that interact with each other to create effective learning. Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) is a science that studies living things, inanimate objects, and their interactions in the universe, as well as human life as individuals and social beings. In general, science is a combination of knowledge that is arranged logically and systematically by taking into account cause and effect. This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the subject of science and science. Teachers have tried to improve learning outcomes by implementing a discussion system, which is expected to increase student participation and their learning outcomes. However, although some students can solve the questions well, there are still students who do not understand the material and tend to be passive, some even engage in irrelevant behavior such as playing or talking to friends. This shows that although teachers have made good efforts, the results are not optimal, and there is a need for more effective strategies or approaches to improve student understanding and participation. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' cognitive and affective domains, with an average value of learning outcomes in cycle I of 73.47% and increasing to 86.52% in cycle II. In addition, teacher activity also increased, from 83.33% in cycle I to 96.65% in cycle II. Thus, the implementation of this model can be said to be successful because it achieved the desired improvement target. Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommends that teachers apply this learning model in science learning to improve student learning outcomes. In addition, further research can be conducted to explore the application of this model in other classes and subjects. Thus, it is expected that this model can be an effective alternative in improving the quality of learning in elementary schools, especially in science subjects. This study provides an important contribution to the development of innovative and effective learning models, as well as providing insight for educators in improving student learning outcomes in the classroom. Through the application of this model, it is expected that students will not only gain better science knowledge, but also develop important social and communication skills in the teaching and learning process.
