Efforts to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes by Using the RADEC Model on Solid Geometry Material in the Second Grade at SDN 27 Ladang Hutan

Abstrak

ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of second-grade students at SDN 27 Ladang Hutan in the mathematics lesson on spatial geometry. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which aims to describe the improvement of second-grade students' learning outcomes by using the RADEC model. The subjects of this study are second-grade students at SDN 27 Ladang Hutan, totaling 8 students. The instruments used in this research consist of a teacher activity observation sheet and a learning outcome test sheet. This research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of three meetings.The research findings indicate that in Cycle 1, the teacher activity observation had a percentage of 73.52%, which falls under the "good" category, and in Cycle 2, there was an increase to 85.29%, which falls under the "very good" category. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes in Cycle 1 had an average score of 68.125 with a completeness percentage of 37.5%, and in Cycle 2, the average score increased to 86.875 with a completeness percentage of 87.5%.Based on these results, it can be concluded that the RADEC model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in spatial geometry. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that teachers implement the RADEC model in order to further improve students' learning outcomes in mathematics lessons.
