Abstrak

APPLICATION OF PLATTICE METHOD TO IMPROVE LEARNING OUTCOMES IN STUDENTS' MULTIPLICATION OPERATIONS IN CLASS 3 OF SD N 22 KOTO BARU SOLOK Nurul Khairiyah Said1, Syafni Gustina Sari1 1Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Email : qorisaid71@gmail.com ABSTRAK This research is motivated by the existence of various problems that cause student learning difficulties, especially students' ability to solve problems, especially in learning multiplication tens and tens, including because teachers do not provide varied learning methods, teachers only use simple media around the classroom environment that does not motivate students to learn multiplication so that the basic concept in multiplication cannot be understood by students well. This study aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes in the multiplication calculation operation of students in grade 3 of SD N 22 Koto Baru Solok by applying the lattice learning method to mathematics learning. The theory used in this study is the lattice learning method proposed by Handojo and Ediant (2004: 40). This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, one cycle consists of two meetings. The procedures in this study are planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection of actions. The subject of the study was grade IIIA students of SD N 22 Koto Baru, Solok Regency with a total of 34 students. The results of the study showed that in the observation of teacher activities in the first cycle with a percentage of 68% and the second cycle 88%, it increased with a percentage of 20%. From the results of observation of student activities in the first cycle with a percentage of 62.4% and in the second cycle with a percentage of 82.8%, an increase of 20.4%. Meanwhile, the average student learning outcome in the first cycle was 69 with a percentage of 41% and the average student learning outcome in the second cycle was 81 with a percentage of 88% an increase of 47%. Thus, it can be concluded that the lattice learning method can improve learning outcomes in the multiplication calculation operation of grade 3 students at SD N 22 Koto Baru Solok.
