PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS PADA PRODUK KARET DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE SIX SIGMA DI PT FAMILI RAYA CRF

Abstract

PT. FAMILI RAYA is the first crumb rubber producer in the city of Padang. The products of the company are exported to America, Britain, West Germany and other European countries. By looking at the export ability of rubber products, the company will pay close attention to the quality of the rubber. However, at the time of doing so, there were still many defective products that were very detrimental to the company. The six sigma method is used to reduce quality degradation due to reject products. This identification process uses DMAIC (Define Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The purpose of this study is to identify the dominant defects that occur in the production process and provide a suggestion using 5 W + 1H. based on 5W + 1H, a proposed improvement to solve the Whitespot problem is obtained, namely: by paying attention to the cleanliness of all parts of the trolly after one use, the working operator must always rearrange the chopper machine after use, the working operator must record the results of each whitespot check. occurs so that the company can improve the work of the employees concerned in the production process. Operators who work make rubber that is not yet 15 days old as reserves and are transferred to contracts with low PO values or low levels of elasticity
