PERBAIKAN KUALITAS MENGGUNAKAN METODE FAILURE MODE AND EFFECT ANALYSIS (FMEA) DAN FAULT TREE ANALYSIS (FTA) PADA UMKM ROMAN INDAH

Abstract

UMKM Roman Indah is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of bags. Based on preliminary observation reports, there are still many production process activities whose work processes do not have workmanship standards which can cause the product to have less than optimal quality. FMEA and FTA methods to find the root causes of defective products found. FMEA and Fta are a systematic approach to identify and minimize defective products that occur in companies. This identification process uses a Risk Priority Number (RPN) assessment, while the search for the root cause of defective products uses a fishbone diagram. From the identification results of the FMEA and FTA methods, there are 4 types of defects, namely, Improper Linkages, Unsuitable Pattern Cut, and Non-Smooth Zippers. To find out the cause of the biggest problem in defective products using the calculation of the RPN value, the biggest failure was obtained, namely the untidy linkage caused by not setting the steps on the sewing machine with an RPN value of 420. Based on the root cause of the problem, the proposed improvement is in the form of instructions. work on every issue.
