PLANNING OF GEOMETRIC AND PAVEMENT THICKNESS HIGHWAY SEGMENTED OF AMPANG KURANJI - SIALANG GAUNG REGENCY DHARMASRAYA

Abstract

Road infrastructure has an important role in the progress of a region. With the way the access
to the area can take place properly, so that the area to avoid isolation. As an agricultural area,
Ampang Kuranji – Sialang Gaung will be passed by vehicles transporting agricultural
products, therefore it needs to be planned geometric calculations and pavement thickness.
Planning is calculated in the form of a review of geometric path refers to the method of Bina
Marga in Tata Cara Perencanaan Geometrik Jalan Antar Kota. For a review of pavement
thickness using Metoda Analisa Komponen and the Asphalt Institute. Planning on a geometric
segment Ampang Kuranji – Sialang Gauang with distance along the 1,211 km this review has
16 corners for horizontal alignments, all of could with used Full Circle type, which adjusted
its determination to speed the plan, length and angle of the existing road. Then for Vertical
alignments are 9 pieces of arch consisting of 4 curved convex and concave curved 5.
Pavement Thickness Calculation Metoda Analisa Komponen 1987 using the obtained thick
surface layer with a thickness of 5 cm Laston materials and thick foundation layer below 38
cm to the type of material Sirtu Class C.
