PLANNING OF DRAINAGE CHANNELS IN THE BALAIBARU AREA KURANJI DISTRICT PADANG CITY
Abstract
One of the frequent flooding areas in the city of Padang is the Bumi Minang III HousingComplex. Therefore this thesis aims to plan drainage on flooding in the region, due to the
natural drainage is still there. In this case the primary drainage channel which is planned to be
a solution to overcome the problem of inundation occurred. At this planning is done such
calculations hydrological analysis, calculation of sewage discharge, computation and
calculation of dimensions of the channel dimensions water channel. While the supporting data
have been used such as topographic maps, rainfall data for 10 years of observation and the
number of residents over 10 years of observation and data population during 10 years of
observation. Calculation results obtained are flood discharge plan for 10 years (Q10) =
1.456804 m3/sec, face high water (h) = 1.40 m, width (b) = 1.40 m, channel height(H) = 1.75
m.
