Abstract

Merangin is one of the districts division of the district Sarolangun Bangko Jambi Province. District
Merangin does not has a lot of road access, particularly to encourage the growth economyc sectors.
The mainsource of the economy comes from the rubber and oil palm. It is necessary for the
improvement of facilities and good transport infrastructure and smoothly, so that it
canprovideoptimaltraffic service. Based onthe data obtained, the authors calculated the planning of the
road segment Margoyoso – Tanjung Rejo. The planning that was calculated in the form of a review of
geometric path to the standard based onPlanning Procedures Geometric Inter - City Road (TPGJAK).
The planning of pavement thickness using Component Analysis Method (MAK). Geometric design
that has 14 bends, twists comprising 6 Full Circle (FC), and Spiral Circle Spiral (SCS) corners. There
is 14 corners that need widening. In the vertical arch there are 5convex curved and 4concave curved .
The Surface layer of pavement thickness obtained Laston MS 340 5 cm thick, the base layer is 15 cm
thick and bottom foundation layer 18 cm thick. Recommended to the relevant agencies to be able to
use this calculation in the implementation of the road construction.
