Abstract

Every year, the number of cancer patients in Indonesia is increasing, with West Sumatra Province experiencing a rate of 2.74 per 1,000 population. Dr. M. Zein Painan Hospital has seen an increase in cancer cases from 62 in 2017 to 73 in 2018. To address this, a Bioclimatic Architecture approach was used to design the Cancer Special Hospital, utilizing the natural potential of Pesisir Selatan Regency to provide medical and non-medical facilities. The research method used was qualitative to create a concept for the Cancer Special Hospital with the theme of Bioclimatic Architecture that meets the community's needs in South Pesisir Regency.
