PERENCANAAN SCIENCE PARK DI JALAN SAWAHAN, KOTA PADANG DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR METAFORA

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to realize the policy Indonesian Minister of Research and Technology, Dr. Mohammad AS Hikam, MA on September 7, 2001, which issued a ministerial decision No. 75/M/Kp/IX/2001 about "Civilizing policy science through the development of Demonstration Center of Science and Region Technology ". In connection with this, the authors also analyze the problems of the city in order to be completed, in addition to utilizing the potential of existing city although done in the same time . Transmigration of people from villages to cities to earn a decent living and guarantee is a prosperous phenomena ongoing throughout the year . Because of these phenomena make the city more dense of population and dwindling green space as a counterweight environmental conditions, coupled with the lack of space as recreational facilities as the development of educational technology , information , and knowledge. From this case the authors raised the problems that exist in the Padang city, because of the many educational facilities at various levels of education , is a great potential as a center of Padang education . From the analysis of emerging ideas and ideas to realize the wonderful recreational facilities and educational that we called '' Science Park '' , in the form of parks and public facilities building which serves as a center of information science and technology that will showcase a lot of things about nature interactive . Due to limited land and region , the authors limit the scope of the science that will be exhibited limited knowledge relating to physics and biology ( plants and animals ). The presence of Padang Science Park is expected to meet the needs of the green open spaces of Padang city and the city as a counterweight to promote education, especially the city of Padang to be people who love nature.
