Abstract

As a result of the disaster that struck the city of Padang on September 30, 2009, resulting in the existing library building was destroyed, so the field of education in the city of Padang has decreased. Padang city was once one of the city education in the island of Sumatra has a library with a collection of 30,000 types of book titles. With the planning of the building is intended to provide a library, provide and facilitate and accommodate the needs of the town of Padang in finding various types of information and knowledge. Provision of facilities for public library building is expected later to help the community in a variety of activities, with a quality and a better library system. The library system using information technology which can be accessed by all libraries in the world of education.
