PERANCANGAN CREATIVE CENTER DAN SARANA UMKM BERBASIS CULTURAL TOURISM DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR NEO- VERNACULAR DI KOTA PADANG, PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT
Abstract
The MSME creative economy sector in Padang City is growing rapidly from year to year, even growing up to 50 percent. The most MSME creative economy sub-sectors in Padang City are from the fashion and culinary industry sub-sectors. However, in Padang City, the existing facilities to support MSME activities are still considered insuf icient in terms of the potential capacity of the places provided because there are still many MSME traders who choose to carry out their activities in illegal places that are more profitable for MSME actors. And also there are still many who use their homes as a place for creative activities so that it will be quite dif icult to observe the productivity of this activity. In this study, the main problem to be solved is the problem of facilities and productivity of creative economy activists by including elements of Cultural Tourism which has considerable potential in Padang City so that the function of facilities and space and. So that MSME activities in Padang City need a place for these creative activities in the form of a Creative Center. In designing this Creative center using the Neo Vernacular Architecture approach in order to create a space that illustrates culture and local wisdom which aims to make this Creative center as one of the regional icons in Padang City. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection stages, literature studies, precedent studies, and site analysis stages.
