Abstract

In Indonesia, student dormitories have become a growing concern as they provide students with a convenient and safe place to live or stay around campus. Nowadays, many universities offer dormitory facilities for their students. These dormitories require different amenities besides rooms, as they serve as a place for studying, socializing, eating, cooking, washing, and other personal hygiene activities. Qualitative research is a scientific approach that differs from quantitative research methods. By having access to student dormitories, students can benefit from adequate learning facilities and infrastructure. Living in a dormitory allows students to study together with their peers without any distractions from the outside environment, such as noise or crowds. This would increase the efficiency of their study time and help them achieve better academic performance. Keywords: student dormitory, student behaviors, Universitas Bung Hatta Kampus II
