Abstract

This research aims to design a plant exhibition center and promotion of natural tourism with a biophilic architectural approach in Lubuk Minturun, Padang City. The plant exhibition center integrated with the promotion of natural tourism is expected to increase public awareness of the importance of environmental and biodiversity preservation. The research methods used are literature studies to gather information on biophilic architectural concepts, as well as field analysis to understand natural characteristics and visitor needs. The biophilic architectural design approach is implemented by utilizing natural elements such as natural lighting, the use of environmentally friendly materials, and the integration of green open spaces. The result of this study is a conceptual design that combines the functions of plant exhibitions and natural tourism promotion spaces in one building that pays attention to aspects of environmental sustainability and visitor comfort. It is hoped that the implementation of this design can make a positive contribution to environmental preservation and increase tourism potential in Padang City, especially in the Lubuk Minturun area.
