PERANCANGAN DISASTER PREVENTION AND EDUCATION CENTER DI TIKU SELATAN KECAMATAN TANJUNG MUTIARA KABUPATEN AGAM PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT

Abstract

This research aims to design a Disaster Prevention and Education Center in Tiku Selatan, Tanjung Mutiara District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. This center is planned to increase community preparedness in facing natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods which often occur in the area. The methods used in this research include field surveys to evaluate geographical conditions, analysis of community needs regarding disaster education, and exploring best practices from similar centers in other areas. This research also includes architectural planning for buildings that are environmentally friendly and function optimally as education and training centers. It is hoped that the results of this research can make a significant contribution to increasing community capacity in reducing disaster risks and increasing emergency preparedness and response in the region.
