Abstract

This research focuses on the design and conceptualization of a Creative Community Hub in Padang City, Indonesia. Creative Community Hubs have emerged as vibrant spaces that facilitate collaboration, innovation, and cultural exchange within diverse communities. Using a comprehensive approach, this study blends qualitative and quantitative methodologies to assess the socio-cultural, economic, and spatial dynamics pertinent to the establishment of the proposed hub. Surveys, interviews, and case studies are employed to explore the existing creative landscape in Padang, understand the needs and aspirations of local creatives and residents, and evaluate the infrastructural and financial prerequisites for the hub's sustainability. Drawing upon successful models from other cities, the research identifies key design principles and operational strategies essential for the effective functioning of the Creative Community Hub. The findings not only underscore the potential benefits of such a hub in Padang, including economic growth, cultural enrichment, and community cohesion but also offer actionable recommendations for policymakers, urban planners, and stakeholders involved in its implementation. By fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity, the proposed Creative Community Hub aims to catalyze positive urban transformation and contribute to the city's sustainable development trajectory.
