Urban Forests are groups of trees that grow in urban or suburban areas. Broadly speaking, it is a variety of perennials and trees that grow around settlements. The Malvinas area with an area of 24 hectares is flanked by two rivers, close to the city center, has good transit access, and if this area is developed and maintained properly, it will have enormous potential as a tourist destination. In addition, it also has relatively good land potential when converted into green open space, namely a vegetated open area that has high economic value for the community and for urban development. Because in this area there are already nurseries and Urban Forest Parks that can be developed, and there is also a major issue regarding the Deputy Mayor of Padang's plan to become a new green open space for the people of Padang with the Waterfront Concept, because this area is a watershed that can be utilized.
