Abstract

This study focuses on the design of a planetarium as a research and education center for astronomy, themed around the Milky Way Galaxy, utilizing a futuristic architectural approach. The aim is to create an immersive environment that enhances public understanding of astronomy while fostering scientific research. The design process involved an extensive literature review, site analysis, and consultations with experts in astronomy and architecture. Key features of the planetarium include interactive exhibits, observation decks, and educational spaces that encourage exploration and engagement with astronomical concepts. The futuristic design not only reflects the vastness of the universe but also symbolizes the innovation in scientific discovery. This planetarium is envisioned as a catalyst for inspiring interest in astronomy among the community and promoting educational initiatives in Pasaman Regency.
