PERANCANGAN PUSAT SENI BUDAYA DAN MUSEUM SEJARAH SEBAGAI CENTER POINT WISATA HERITAGE KOTO GADANG DI KABUPATEN AGAM
Abstract
Koto Gadang is a village in Agam Regency with historical and cultural value, both during the Minangkabau kingdom and the Dutch colonial period. Koto Gadang is famous for its silver and embroidery crafts, these are crafts of the Koto Gadang community that have been passed down from generation to generation and have existed before the Dutch colonial period. This study aims to exploit the potential for educational tourism in art, culture, history, and culinary with a Symbiotic Architecture approach. This research is motivated so that these potentials are not lost in time and can be accessed and enjoyed by all groups, especially the younger generation so that they continue to know and preserve cultural history, besides that the lack of tourist access is due to the unmanaged tourism of the Koto Gadang destination. The methodology used is a qualitative approach involving collecting and analyzing descriptive and in-depth data found in the field, including case studies of Koto Gadang tourism, surveys, and interviews. The conceptual framework integrates cultural, colonial, and tropical elements, using the concept of symbiotic architecture where different elements are united in one entity. The results of this study include design proposals for museum buildings, arts, crafts, and culinary that combine colonial and tropical. The proposed design aims to offer education and infrastructure to Koto Gadang visitors about the arts, culture, and history in the Koto Gadang heritage tourism area. Keywords: art culture and history, educational tourism, symbiotic architecture, Koto GadangDownloads
