PERANCANGAN KAMPUNG VERTIKAL DENGAN MENERAPKAN LIVABLE AND HEALTHY HOUSING DIKAWASAN RW 03 KELURAHAN KUBU MARAPALAM, KECAMATAN PADANG TIMUR
Abstract
RW 03 Kelurahan Kubu Marapalam is strategically located near the Simpang Haru transportation station and the Simpang Haru Market shopping center. Covering an area of 2.12 hectares, the neighborhood has an average population of 202 people per hectare, indicating a high population density that can lead to issues such as poor ventilation, lack of open space, littering, unemployment, and irregular building layout. Therefore, there is a need for initiatives to enhance the environmental quality of RW 03 Kelurahan Kubu Marapalam. A solution to these issues is the implementation of a vertical relocation effort, involving the construction of a vertical community to maintain the existing conditions, and the acquisition of more open space to improve the neighborhood's quality. This process involves preserving permanent residences with land ownership certificates and providing essential spaces, such as open areas, gardening plots, play spaces, and interaction areas for the residents of RW 03. This is to ensure that the area can harmonize with the surrounding environment. The design approach aims to create habitable and healthy housing, chosen for its capacity to meet the diverse and evolving needs of the RW 03 community.
