Abstract

Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province has millions of potentials that, if managed properly, can attract tourists to visit there. One of them is the Lake Maninjau tourist attraction which presents a very beautiful view. Lake Maninjau (meaning ‘view’ or ‘review’ in Minangkabau) is a caldera lake in Tanjung Raya sub-district, Agam Regency, West Sumatra province. The lake is located about 140 kilometres north of Padang City, the capital of West Sumatra, 36 kilometres from Bukittinggi, 27 kilometres from Lubuk Basung, the capital of Agam Regency. Lake Maninjau is a volcanic lake located at 461.50 metres above sea level.. One of them at this time, being promoted both for the village, sub-district and district governments is the Tapian Panyinggahan Maninjau tourist attraction located on the edge of Lake Maninjau, Jorong Kubu Baru, Nagari Maninjau, Tanjung Raya District, this tourist attraction is starting to be known to the surrounding community and attract tourists. Around Lake Maninjau, on average, there are no resorts that have the main class type of the many resorts in Lake Maninjau dominated by cottages and bungalows. The potential of Lake Maninjau is a source of livelihood attraction from various sectors that have not been optimised optimally such as tourism, fisheries, trade, economy. This research approach took a qualitative approach. The purpose of the design is a building that is intended for local and foreign tourist destinations and has a positive impact on low-income residents in order to restore economic income and efforts to save environmental damage / pollution in Lake Maninjau.
