PERANCANGAN LEISURE HUB (RUANG KESENANGAN BANDARA) DI BANDARA INTERNASIONAL MINANGKABAU KAB. PADANG PARIAMAN DENGAN PENDEKATAN MOVEMENT OF LEISURE

Abstract

This research is motivated by the surge in air transportation users every year and the problem of the lack of airport supporting facilities, integrated transportation and psychological, physiological problems of airport users during long trips. This research aims to explore how the potential of designing a Leisure Hub building as the center of the airport's pleasure / leisure space with the movement of leisure approach in BIM. With a comprehensive literature review and field analysis, this research identifies the main principles of leisure at airports, airport economics, human psychology and physiology and integrated transportation systems. The research method used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative, case studies of similar designs, surveys, interviews with airport users and aviation experts and economists. This method provides an overview of how to design a Leisure Hub that is good in design and answers the potential and existing problems. The result of this research is a leisure hub building design with a movement of leisure approach, by looking at the fast and dynamic movement at the airport so that how to present the space passed has a pleasant story at each point so as to reduce the above problems. In addition, this design as the only work of the airport's new economic center in West Sumatra, making the airport an orientation of urban development or aerotropilis.
